Professor Edison Tak-Bun Liu (M.D.) is a world-renowned leader in cancer biology. He is currently the Executive Director of the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS). Prof. Liu’s research group was among the first to clone and to elucidate the function of previously new tyrosine kinases such as AXL, JAK3, FAK, and RAK to cancer biology. Dr. Liu was previously the Director of Clinical Studies at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, in Bethesda, MD — the largest cancer institute in the world. He was trained at Duke, Stanford, UCSF and Washington University, and was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association for Cancer Research.

David Thomas (PhD) was the former VP of R&D at Tanox and Biogen. He has extensive experience in drug development in particular in the area of therapeutic antibodies.

Robert F. Balint (PhD) was a founder of Kalobios and is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cytometrix. He is an expert in antibody assay development and antibody engineering. Dr. Balint has thirty peer-reviewed publications and is an inventor on many issued US patents.
