James W. Larrick, MD PhD, has an international reputation in biotechnology, having written or co-authored eight books, over 220 papers/chapters and fifteen patents. He serves on the editorial board of six journals. His team wrote the IND for Namenda (memantine) —one of the most successful FDA-approved Alzheimer’s drugs. Dr. Larrick has worked on various aspects of therapeutic antibodies and other protein therapeutics for the past 20 years. He has founded several successful biotechnology companies, some of which were acquired by larger biotechnology companies (Tanox, Dyax, Chiron and EvoGenix) that are now publicly listed. He has licensed products to Amgen, Intermune and Neuromolecular. Dr. Larrick is the Managing Director of Panorama Research, Inc., the company within which Humanyx, Kalobios, Intermune, NuGen, PanGenetics TargetQuest and several other successful companies were incubated. Dr. Larrick received his MD and PhD degrees from Duke University and performed his housestaff and post-doc training at Stanford University.

Casey Chan, M.D. is is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and the Division of Bioengineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also a Professorial Fellow at the IP Academy, where he conducts workshops on patent claim analysis. He has 36 issued U.S. patents in the area of surgical devices and 17 other patents pending. He participates in angel investing and advises a number of biotech start-ups in the U.S. He is currently Chairman and CEO of WizPatent, a software company on patent document management. He previously served as the Director of the technology transfer office at NUS and as the Chairman of Orthopedics at St John's Regional Medical Center in Missouri. Dr. Chan received his MD and underwent residency training at the University of Toronto.
